Christ Church interior
After several days of terrific bus and walking tours, Tom and I meandered around Oxford, targeting several stops along the way. The access to these late medieval architectural marvels was incredible and we enjoyed tours at each of these stops…
We started with a special exhibit at Weston Library, called Bodleian Treasures (several rare library holdings, like the mouse-bitten Magna Carta), then moved on to the Sheldonian Theatre (including attic and rooftop access), the Great Hall at Christ Church (of recent Harry Potter fame), Tom Quad, Christ Church, the Bodleian Library, and All Souls College quad and chapel. I was awestruck several times that day, as I was each day we spent in and around Oxford.
