The Class of 1968 averts a Winter Carnival disaster
Before Winter Carnival our freshman year, snowfall in the area declined. This posed a serious problem for the running of the intercollegiate skiing jumping competition. The solution was to recruit students from the freshman physical education class to help drag snow from adjacent wooded areas and pack it on the ramp. Undoubtedly this cost the College less than paying maintenance staff to do the job. Fortunately no one in our class was lost at the work site.
