’68 English prof hangs up cleats, game goes on

We recently found out that Prof. Jack Shindler, whom we remember as English major, Fulbright Scholar (France), and creator of the babbel coffeehouse, has made the transition away from daily work life.

In his long career at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, Jack Shindler served as chair of the English Department and the Division of Arts and Letters before becoming director and founder of the Office of International Programs, now called the Center for Global Education.

He is reticent about revealing his retirement plans, but we suspect they may involve global travel.

Congratulations, Jack!
