Relive or get to know our 55th
Our 55th had an entirely different flavor.
We were over one hundred strong (classmates and companions) as we headed toward Williamstown to be born again.
We asked John Stickney to bring us all up to date with the reunion: his report appears immediately below. We also reproduce Class President Mark Donavan's inaugural address, as well as a post-reunion exchange with President Maud S. Mandel.
It turns out that we have so much material, between videos (new category!), photos, and individual reports that we've decided to publish a Part 2, in mid September. So be on the lookout for that. We have added one video from our 55th, to whet your appetite.
Do please take note that the success of our 55th was the result of an energetic and devoted campaign led by your classmates. John Stickney, who modestly omits his own name, has given us the following account:
This reunion would never have been so successful without the leadership and light touch of Mark Donavan, Bob Heiss and Mike Herlihy. Early on, with help from Larry Levien, they scored a coup: our own headquarters, rather than being sequestered in Dodd House with other post-50th-reunioners. Then they finessed the headquarters upgrade from Tyler House to St. Anthony Hall/the Center for Development Economics, where we could live large. Alexander Caskey deserves a shout-out for navigating our media so classmates could beam-in.
At every point the college’s reunion staffers Sean McGrath and Chris Robare (a veteran of our 50th who unretired to help us again) expertly shepherded our proceedings.

Reunion 55: All These Things That Don't Change
At the corner of Route 2 and 7, the Class of 1968 extended the frontier of reunions and found that the past may even have a future.
And no question about it, the women outdid the men during the reunion's audience-participation sessions.

Is it my imagination or are these reunions getting closer together?

Post Reunion Exchange with President Maud S. Mandel
55th Reunion Chairs Mark Donavan and Mike Herlihy wrote a letter of thanks to President Maud Mandel, voicing their appreciation for the all support we received. Included was a pickleball uniform from the Lowell Davis Pick-Up Pickleball Academy. Here is her reply:

In Their Own Write: Four Strong Winds

A highlight of our 55th: a repeat performance from Ted McMahon and Roseanne Olson, joined by Caroline Boynton, and introducing an original composition by Roseanne.
