Williams 68 in Oxford 2017 – Barbara Hamachek (Tod Hamachek)

Oxford Botanic Garden & ArboretumBringing Oxford Botanical Garden Memories Home

As a floral designer, stepping into the oldest botanic garden in Great Britain and one of the oldest scientific gardens in the world was magic.

At the University of Oxford’s Botanical Garden, originally created for the study of medical plants, we were able to marvel at the specimens collected, from walled to medicinal and tropical gardens.

Lewis Carroll and the Liddell Children, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Philip Pullman’s trilogy all used the Botanical garden for inspiration.

Who knows what bits and pieces may surface in my own garden after our visit. I know they will continue to inspire, encourage discovery and evoke memories of our Williams adventures!
